Where Did Halloween Costumes Come From?
Halloween has its origins as a celtic festival, known as Samhain. This festival was to celebrate the beginning of the second half of the year and involved lots of activities around fire, spirits, Halloween costumes and more. most of the more modern Halloween traditions began in the old English era and many still remain to this day.

The original Samhain festivals often used costumes that people would dress up in to ward off spirits. These costumes were black or white with hoods and masks.
Masks and halloween costumes have been maintained as a tradition since old english times and these days there is a huge industry in Halloween Costumes and masks!
Some other traditions still exist, such as candles in windows (which originated by Irish and Scottish people) to honour their dead.
Popular Halloween costumes usually include Witches, Devils and other ‘dark’ characters that are more befitting of something traditionally scary to ward off evil spirits. I wonder how many people even realise why they look to buy scary costumes for Halloween these days? Over the years though, costume choices have changed to include just about anything, and far more creative.
The Babies Costumes Were So Beautiful
We’ve all been preparing for trick or treaters this halloween. I bought quite a few items for a spooky décor. My husband is just as excited and me and the kids. He sometimes goes over the limit when it comes to halloween. He sets up the front yard with all kinds of scarry creatures. He even bought sound effects this year to make things even more halloweenish.

I have to admit he did find a great place to shop for halloween supplies. I gave in a little on the props because they had such unique items. The fog juice he ordered is really neat. It really adds to the scary ambiance already in progress. I also conceded to the dropping zombie guy he wanted. It really is pretty awesome. We will hang him just above the top step on the porch. He also bough a voice changer and a icky crawling hand to put by the bowl of candy. I thought I should check out this site and see if I could find some kids and halloween baby costumes too. There were plenty of costumes for everyone in the family, that we could actually afford. You could find several newborn baby costumes and others for every age group.
The boys wanted to know if we were going to dress up this year too. That didn’t exactly sound too good to me, at first. But after giving it some thought, it sounded like fun. We decided to at least view the collection of adult halloween costumes they had to offer. After seeing what they had and discussing it, we decided to order costumes for ourselves.] My first choice was the zombie prom queen. A hearty pirate costume was my husbands first choice. But popeye and olive oyl took first place with us. So, we ended up with great decorations, props and costumes for everyone at wonderfully low prices. Halloween just keeps getting better and better.
